About the Project
Hello!
We're Jack Rhodes and Caroline Rozzo and undertaking a project for our Duke University Ethics course. We were tasked with putting our time into a project that exemplifies what it means to us to live a good life.
Posed with this question, we though about what makes our lives meaningful. As both of us are fans of traveling and trying new things, we agreed that having new experiences makes our lives enjoyable, full, and meaningful. In the middle of the pandemic (and a semester), traveling wasn't much of an option, so we chose to look into cultures to gain new experience - and we decided to do that through food!
Food is such a close cultural aspect, with ties to a group's history and traditions, so we figured it would be the best way to peer into the eyes of another culture and expand our worldview. We chose to create this blog as the documentation of this journey - to encapsulate the cultural history and research of the foods we choose, how we prepared/enjoyed the food, the things we learned, what others thought, and to share the recipes themselves!
We're very excited to dive into the world and we hope you enjoy what we have to share!
-Jack and Caroline
